The System Controller is the "gas motor" of our hybrid model – providing the front-end performance platform of our storage appliances. In addition to delivering sub-second access times for files stored in the Cache Array(s) and up to 375MB/sec of throughput, the System Controller also houses our HybridOS™ management software and handles all appliance operations.
The System Controller is a compact, 2U server featuring quad-core processing, 10GbE connectivity, and redundant, hot-swappable components for high availability. Each System Controller supports up to four Cache Arrays and 24 Hybrid Libraries to deliver up to 48TB of high performance SAS-based cache and 1.2PB of virtualized backend storage capacity.
